HOSPITAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Airducter is a Darwin based owned and operated organisation providing industrial and commercial air conditioning and mechanical services in the NT since 1983. Airducter prides itself on the provision of quality products and services based on a solid foundation of a strong, skilled and committed workforce.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a full-time position based at our Royal Darwin Hospital site, to actively manage the mechanical services maintenance team and all maintenance works. This position ensures that all maintenance works performed by the business meet all relevant Australian Standards and are completed professionally and promptly.

Key Duties include:

  • Plan, schedule and assign daily works to ensure proper distribution of work, adequate staffing, and appropriate duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance;

  • Provide guidance to technicians on fault finding, investigations and maintenance activity;

  • Monitor and ensure all works are executed in the planned time frame and budget (costs) based on their specific baseline;

  • Liaise with clients to establish preventive maintenance programs for Contract Service works;

  • Provide mechanical integrity inspections and advise appropriate personnel as to required scope of work;

  • Complete monthly reports for both internal and external stakeholders;

  • Ensure professional link between client and Airducter management; and,

  • Provide support and development opportunities for apprentices.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Must hold a trade certificate in either Construction or Manufacturing, or a Professional qualification in a building or related industry;

  • Extensive experience in managing a mechanical maintenance team;

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal customers & stakeholders as well as external organisations;

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and construction work related to the relevant industry;

  • Experience within commercial services, facilities management or similar;

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional time management and the ability to meet deadlines while under pressure;

  • Ability to successfully gain various federal police and security clearances as required;

  • OCHRE Card (Working with Children), or have the ability to gain; and,

  • Valid NT Drivers license.
