MAGNT BACK OF HOUSE AIR CONDITIONING UPGRADE

Successfully completed during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, Airducter supplied and installed an air conditioning system comprising of chilled water air handling units; chilled water pipework system; BMS and MSSB. Ductwork and pipework modification was also required to facilitate the installation of new chilled water AHU's inside the plantroom.

The air conditioning upgrade for Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) Back of House was a carefully curated project to ensure that all art is stored in optimum conditions at all times. Works were divided into stages to accommodate MAGNT operations and AHU’s were designed with SMAC technology.

One new chilled water AHU supplies dehumidified outside air to various new chilled water AHUs via an internally insulated sheet metal ductwork which then passes through a VAV for demand control.

Internally, sheet metal ductworks were modified to connect to the existing system. Insulated chilled water pipework headers were modified to cater for the new AHU's installation.

Airducter manufactured, supplied, installed and commissioned all ductwork on the MAGNT Project.
